New Findhorn Directions (NFD) Ltd

Letting your property

As a title holder / home owner who decides to let their property it is important for you to know that you become a landlord and as such assume the duties and responsibilities associated with such a role.

NFD has no role in acting as the title holder's (landlord) agent and/or assuming any of their duties and responsibilities.

NFD's policy for title holders who let their property is that the home owner remains responsible for monthly bills at all times and bills are only issued in the owner's name.

NFD can add the name of the title holder's tenant as a by-line on their bill if they so wish. Title holders need to arrange this with NFD accounts, informing them in a timely fashion when the arrangement begins and ends.

Title holders / home owners are responsible for all transfer arrangements when their tenants change, i.e. utility costs / charges etc. It is not NFD's responsibility.

NFD does offer a service in noting / recording elecrity readings at a tenant's entry and exit dates, which are given to the landlord so they can pass on the cost to their tenant. NFD's fee for this service is £25 per reading. Title holders wishing to make use of this service must inform the NFD accounts team in a timely fashion of when the tenant arrives and departs.
