Reminder - Price Increase notification for December 2016
The Findhorn Wind Park (FWP) has advised NFD of a rise in their Green tariff electricity price that will come through for NFD usage from December 2016.
This will result in a 1% increase across Day, Standard and Night rates.
Using the current November figures as an example, the standard rate would be 0.1347 pence per unit (ppu) up 0.0014, a day rate of 0.1447 ppu up 0.0014 and a night rate of 0.1087 ppu up 0.0014.

FWP statement on Park Electricity price rises:
The price charged by FWP to NFD is based in Scottish and Southern Energy's (SSE) domestic green tariffs and these have recently gone up, hense the increase.
When the wind does not blow strongly enough to generate all the power required for the Park, FWP imports the balance from the grid. With the growth of the Park estate FWP is now a net importer rather than exporter of electricity. Even so, about half of the power used by the Park is purchased from SSE. The cost of this import electricity has gone up in line with national increases.
